Many WPF Chapters have already released their scholarship applications.
Overview of WPF National and Chapter Scholarships
Winners of WPF Chapter scholarships will be automatically advanced to the National Women in Public Finance (National WPF) organization for consideration of an additional scholarship award from National WPF. In 2023, National WPF awarded 5 scholarships totaling $15,000. The first place winner received $5,000 and the remaining four winners received $2,500 each.
We would like to express our gratitude to all our chapters for their support during this year's national membership drive. We are thrilled to announce that we now have over 1,000 national Women in Public Finance members. A special congratulations to the 13 chapters who have qualified to send an Issuer Ambassador to the national conference. These ambassadors will represent the issuers from their respective chapters and provide valuable insights to improve WPF programming for the issuer community.

Thank you to all participants who joined the kick-off session, we look forward to a very successful and rewarding year.
We had 15 current chapters as well as a representative from a potential new chapter join us in San Diego for the in-person Chapters meeting. National committee chairs shared their plans for the year and the Chapters were able to give feedback and break out into groups to brainstorm ideas for their upcoming year. The Chapters sat by region, which resulted in a lot of positive feedback and potential collaboration.
Due to this we plan to implement hosting regional calls twice a year in addition to the two in-person meetings to continue the dialogue so that Chapters are able to connect with each other for ideas and support.
Following the success of our inaugural year, we will be expanding the Issuer Ambassador Program in 2024. Women in Public Finance will provide financial support to assist issuer members attend this year’s 28th Annual Confrere in San Diego. Please contact your chapter affiliate from more information.
Jennifer Fredericks, a sales director at market data platform SOLVE, will lead Women in Public Finance's board of directors in 2024, the organization recently announced.
